I was pretty amazed at how fast this one grew. I have some others that are slower in putting on some size.

Here's an updated picture of my O. Smock Valley Hybrid. I'll put an earlier picture here too for comparison. I love the unusual color it's turning!

It was given to me by a lady here in Wisconsin. I haven't had it through a winter yet, but she's had them for many years. I'll be anxious to see how it does here.

I have one that looks like that with the same color. Darn, wish I could remember the name. I'll have to get the camera again and get a pic. Or better yet, update my pics of my collection.

Hurray! It sure is good to see you Greg. We've really missed you.

Here are photos of two of my Orostachys. I took the photos today.
O. boehmeri

O. japonica

Lynn, Please hold one of your Japonica for me. Just haf'ta have one. It looks gorgeous. Not sure if I have a boehmeri either. I'm still name-challeged by the ones in my collection and not sure if I have some of them with the correct names.

My Oro's have done well this summer and I will have some flowers. Now, if I can just remember where I put the camera. Shrug!

Here's a phone pic showing 4 of my Oro's. Note that the one in the lower right corner seems to be similar to the plant in discussion above. Upper right and lower left plant look very similar to me and I think may be the same. Not the best pic, as it was the phone and in full sun. I could not even see the screen of the phone to get it centered.

Here are the different names they go by. You may already have them under a different name. Looks like you do have the same one Chris has this post.

Twit, that sure does look like the same plant. I hope you can come up with the 'correct' name for me, as I doubt the one associated with mine is correct.

Lynn, your O. japonica is sure a beautiful color right now.

Lynn, at one time did you make up a list of all the Orostachys and their known botanical names, or am I imaging things? If you did, could I please have a link to it?

The Orostachy database now has all the correct names, with the synonyms for each entry.

Chris I found a photo of one that looks like yours. http://www.succulents.jp/photo...

Hi EarthChild. Nice to see you here in the Orostachys thread. Do you have some that you grow? Or do you live in a climate that does not provide winter dormancy?
