Several of my Psychopsis orchids have done that same thing, Lindsey, and Ursula is right, they just keep on blooming.

I think my Psychopsis is on bloom #5 on the same stem with a bud for #6. Also, I second stem is growing.

It must be Miltoniopsis season - they are all working overtime this year. The white one is on its third go 'round this spring.

They really are gorgeous Daisy. Well done!

We were at Home Depot for gutter supplies this afternoon, and their orchid table caught my eye - would you believe they had three - count 'em 3! - Enc. tampensis sitting on the table amongst the Phals. Some nice Oncs, a tray of Tolumnias, and a few very sad looking tiny Paphs, too. I resisted.

Sorry for posting "somebody else's" blooms. I am sadly lacking in anything new here. Maybe tomorrow.

You have more will power than I do! My HD is pretty sad when it comes to orchids.

Jim, I put them at the bottom of the greenhouse where its shady and wet and 'discover' them again when flowers come crawling out.

OMG! They actually leave space between them? The ones I see around are crammed together so tight you can't pick one up without damaging something. Of course it's pretty much the same at the shows.

Daisy, I once spent a summer in Reno. As I recall, it was hot and dry. Worse than here! I have tried Milts. several times, and they die every time as soon as I take them out of the house. You must have a magic touch!

Got a little bonus this morning as I was outside fertilizing - Miltassia 'Luke Skywalker' with a bloom open at last.

The big blue Catt hasn't quite opened all the way, will have to wait until this evening to get a decent shot. Now that it's open, I don't think it is the C. gaskelliana x coerulea2 either. The petals/tepals are too blue.

Definitely not C. gaskelliana x coerulea2 as there's not enough yellow in the lip. This picture (as usual) adds a little bit of red so the color is really a nice dusky purple.

I went out last night to see if the last Miltoniopsis were showing any sign of buds. No such luck. They are sitting on the floor behind the pool pump - no easy task to see what's happening. I had to use my flashlight so I'll look again by the light of day.

After this many years, they are VERY root bound but I'm not sure if I should re-pot or leave them be. No signs of their health suffering. No medium left to decompose. Smiling No bugs. I guess they are good.

I just found this article on miltoniopsis care. Good reading and a reprieve until fall. Smiling

The only chance I have is for it to be a house plant, like the Phals., and I don't think it would get enough light during summer months. Of course that doesn't mean I'll never try one again. There is a show coming up the end of July. Whistling
