I'm jealous of everyone enjoying their lilies. I'm guessing probably another couple weeks to a month around here depending on the weather.

At least you're in the same hemisphere, Dave! We're about to go into winter here...

Some nice lilies there, Connie. Especially like 'Accent'.

That is an intriguing lily, Susan. I wonder what its ancestry is.

Indeed, Dave. I've actually been looking forward to winter since I discovered this forum, as I knew that in the Northern Hemiphere there would be lots of lilies blooming and (hopefully) plenty of photos! In Australia we don't have quite the range of cultivars that you do (although we still have quite a few), so it's nice to see what's out there.

Fortunately we only have a small amount of lily "off-time" here. Hurray!

Here in the PNW I haven't had any weather damage other than a few hail specs. I expect a good season here.

I've not met Rose Dawn before - looks like an interesting historic. I like that flower type. Smiling

Rose Dawn is (L. davidii var. willmottiae x L. x maculatum) x L. regale or so says the lily register. It is registered as a Div. I.

Regale!? Wow, I can't see it. Have you noticed anything that suggests it might really be from regale pollen? And thanks for sharing the background. I'm squinting at the photo going 'No way!' Big Grin

Now, I simply reported what the register said Whistling .

After all, it was 1943 or so and maybe they weren't all that careful back then...

Ramona from Faraway flowers helped me ID the early blooming lily I posted yesterday. Probably Rusty. I found this photo of it online and it does have the spaces near the throat that I thought were different. Mine may have more spots.
https://www.google.com/search?...
Here is a side shot that shows the spaces I'm taking about.

Valley K has sold Rusty and here is their photo. Scroll to bottom and go to end of slideshow. Rusty is fourth from last. They look very similar but Susan's sure seems to have a lot more spots out toward the petal tips. Another oldie, c. 1956:

I love raspberries, so it seemed like a good fit.

Tracey, I have thought about doing that just to get some lily color going. Just haven't found one that i either don't have, or I really like enough

I really like that raspberry color Tracey. How does it compare to Purple Heart?
