Just got done doing a check on the lilies. The ones i planted last year are doing really good. Seems that they all multiplied.

In the new bed i made this year, I still have a few bulbs that are just now poking their noses up. I planted 2 'giraffe' bulbs, but only one has come through. Then another spot I planted 3 bulbs and only 2 have come up. I guess that's gardening. A few that I ordered from places not as reputable, it seems like the leaves on some don't match up with the plant next to it, though they should be the same. Have to wait for them to bloom to know for sure. And it really is quite amazing how much a bulb can travel. I planted all bulbs in a group of 3 and in a triangular grouping. Some do not look like that anymore. But then again, some are putting up multiple stems. Looks like there will be some work to do in the fall.

Today's tour of the garden yielded several new lilies in bloom. I'll load pics later...seems I've aggravated some wrist problems in my zeal to take control back from the weedy wilds...

Dave,
My neighbor planted a bunch of new lilies and same problem with two out of three coming up.

Jmorth,
I hope your wrist heals. That's a setback.

I got Red Planet from Buggy Crazy many year's ago, used to have Plum Peach (from Lisa too); it was definitely in my very or most top favorites category.
Nice selections Susan.
