I have a bloom stalk coming on my newly planted Milk In My Coffee! I am doubtful that without protection it will bloom since we have had a slight frost already. I think I will cover it at night when it's cold, and try to nurse it to bloom, as now I am sure it won't bloom next year. It could very well be an under developed bloom though. It does have a small increase coming but that will take a while to grow large enough to bloom.

I may be wrong, but seem to remember seeing Milk in my Coffee as a rebloomer - if so, you should see blooms next spring, surely? When I told Barry that his rhizomes had bloomed here in July, he said that most would also bloom normally in May next year.
Name: Niki Bend, Oregon (Zone 6a) Flowers are food for the soul.
Rosalie Figge just began blooming today. I think I can expect no blooms from her next spring because she is a newly planted rhizome (this August). slight sweet fragrance.

It was a bonus from Keith Keppel. It says in the Tempo Two catalog that it has re-bloomed on occasions. So far it has one increase, but it's too small to grow into a bloom next spring.

I'm so excited to see more pics of that iris. I also got it as a bonus and it was one of my favorites in the catalog. I hope your bloom doesn't get ruined from cold Tom!
Oops sorry Lucy, didn't mean to ignore you. I've been a bit frazzled lately. I'll be away next weekend so unfortunately I won't be around to attend. I was most interested in hearing Paul speak anyway. Thanks so much for the update!
Liz I just wanted to be sure that you knew Paul would not be there.
Not blooms season this year but for next--took SDB Mahagony Snow out of the pot today & John counted 9 fans as he planted it outside. It was from the HIPS sale & had no roots when it came.
