Flowering now. This iris is wild in parts of the island. It must be an old cultivar. Does it have a name? I am thinking of composting mine because it gets big black spots on the leaves. The blooms only last a day.

It's a gorgeous day, Glen! Sorry to hear about the black spots, though.

@Gleni

Glen, that is Neomarica gracilis, which is an African iris.

Leslie, I have Dietes iridioides, which is another African iris.

I'm hoping. A couple of my Winterberry's are doing this and a few others that aren't registered rebloomers. Temps are dropping and there's still time here for some action. It'd be nice to re jump start the season here. Crossing Fingers!

My usual rebloomers don't even start until November and then are lucky if they don't freeze.

And Gabe, our temps are suppose to get back up to the 80's next week. Whistling

I'm having a period of adjustment by going back to work after so many years.. My brain is fuzzy, but I think I may have posted this last month when it bloomed.. Since the discussion came up again about Milk in My Coffee, I thought I'd show it again... Mine was a bonus from Keppel.

Getting some good rain today, and more on the way. It's been a slow steady soaking, which is exactly what we need. So happy that the hose dragging season is over... Hurray!

Love that Milk In My Coffee! Mine is trying to send up a stalk, but we have had 4 nights of frost now. I've been covering it but progress is slow. We have a week of warmer weather coming so maybe it will make it. So good to hear that you guys are getting a bit of rain now on the West coast.

Hoping that bloom makes it, Tom! Crossing Fingers!
If it does, please post pictures! I'm still trying to decide if it is worth getting, even if it really is too expensive for me. Big Grin

Thanks for the photo, Sherry! Hurray! It sure looks good... Hope you will get less fuzzy as you get used to working again! May I ask what your new job is?

Sherry I love that iris!!! I got it as a bonus from him as well but mine didn't put up a stalk. It's isn't getting as much sun now as it was earlier in the summer so I think that could be part of it. The fans have lovely growth though so maybe in Spring Crossing Fingers! Tom I'm still hoping yours makes an appearance. We have had freezing temps in Massachusetts the past few days too.
