Don has also created some wonderful green dwarf iris. I know he is still introducing new blues.

I posted an article about his sister on the Mindless Chatter thread. Don sends her 200 iris a year!!! She certainly must have a lot more space than most of us!!

No wiki pic of Miss Pretty, white standards, white falls splashed red, yellow tipped beard. Sounds like my kind of iris.

Got a small package of 2 yesterday and a larger one of 8 today, but not the quantity that Liz has gotten already. Only 24 rec'd so far from trades and one order with 67 to go it appears. Have to do some rearranging to make better use of the new bed areas and keep certain ones together.

You made an interesting statement, Dave ....."to keep certain ones together" . At times, I've tried that.......all one hybridizer....all the rebloomers....all the "French ones", whatever....and it seems that something always pops up to make it ...all the "French" ones...but those two, or, all the Sass...except for Minnie Colquitt, so....I just plant by height, now Shrug! . I do try to keep the "likely zone 5 rebloomers" in the rebloomerbeds, and I *try* to keep the "Indians" all on the reservation.....which is now THREE reservations Rolling my eyes. ! But, , I've pretty well given up on organizing anything else Sticking tongue out .

I never thought to group by hybridizers, that sounds awesome!!! If I ever move and redo my beds I think I'll try it out.

I put a lot of Keppels in the lily garden. Rebloomers are kept on the other half of the back yard garden so they can get their separate water and steroids.
Gimme it and I'll grow it!

Well, I'm a little behind, I have some catching up to do. But I have received 3 boxes!! Hurray! 2 boxes are already in the ground.

Let me start off by saying why I am so behind, My husband and I are expecting our first child a baby girl at the end of December! ( now I have someone to share my Iris love with!! This is why I have been MIA for a bit, I had A horrible case of morning sickness which started right when bloom season did. Glare I am now over that part and starting to feel back to normal. But my gardening this year is going to be very limited in the heat.
