Oh, Man, I am OVERWHELMED by generous people today! Thank you all!

This is like a fairy tale where someone gave me something - then someone gave me twice as much - then someone else gave me twice as much as THAT ... and that's when I came back to consciousness with my co-workers asking "What happened to YOU??"

I won the Acorn Lottery of the century!

Rich, I tell you!! (But I mostly answer to "Corey".)

>> we're putting together an order of shirts and coffee mugs

Ummm ... should we pre-order? I'd like two of everything and half a dozen mugs ... do any have gold rims or self-heating features? A Tee shirt with built-in massager or a tiny air-conditioner?

Dazed and appeciative!

Do we get any part of an acorn for database submissions which are not the first for that variety? Many times by the time I am putting in a picture there is already pictures in there of whatever it is. Especially in daylilies and iris.

I put in pictures, the acorn totals go up but I am never quite sure what gets credit and what does not.

Lin, I did look at that list but don't see were you get credit except on the fist picture per variety. I put in pictures no matter if someone has beat me there or not. Often different views of the same plant. If only the first picture gets credit doesn't seem fair. If that is so it kind of gives the message that those rest of the pictures have no value.I get were the first gets an entire acorn but seems to me then others should get a fraction? Shrug! Dave, if they don't get credit, I hope you read this and make it so they do get a fraction, please Thumbs up

I think it's the first of your pictures in each gallery for each plant, Rita, not the first picture ever.

You get credit for your own contributions regardless of what others have done.

If there is already an image by someone else of a bloom of a plant, you also get an acorn for posting a bloom of that same plant.

Absolutely! I think we've all given acorns away, usually as a token of appreciation for something, but sometimes just for fun. We had something like a snowball fight a few weeks ago and threw acorns at each other wildly for 15 minutes.

Sherry, they will become the 'currency' of ATP and maybe you should not give all of them away. Dave has great plans for things you will be able to 'buy' with acorns, like mugs and T-shirts.

Do we get a system message when we get an acorn for a published tip or suggestion for a team article or are those acorns ones which silently drop into your account without notification? I know we get notification for data details, photos for database etc... but it's those firrst 2 I mentioned that I don't know the rules on.

Is there any way to "star" or watch or bookmark the list of how to get acorns? I can never find the list until someone posts on this thread again.
