Man, I am wet from head to toe and I have only been out for about 30 minutes. I had a bunch of Leopard Lily plants to un-pot, partially bare-root, bag up with moist sphagnum moss, and then tape. All that's left to do is to wrap them in newspaper and box up. At least that's done inside, in AC.

I got a wet one outside ..getting into mischief ....I brought him a vanilla bean shake and let me tell you it was not pleasant. He better not get stung because I do not think the ER nurses would let him in.

Too late Rosie. You can always say: "Ken really sweated over my plants". By my rough figuring, there were so many plants per pot, that the individual plants work out at around $1.00 each, if y'all wish to divide them individually.

So....is that sweat going to make them root better??

The area where they are going they will not go..I have a nice protected ( from deer ripping out of ground ) spot for them now...come the fall..they will go into their forever home with protections. I think they will work out fine and the fact that there are so many..at such a great price...is a bonus. I think it was a super deal for a lovely hearty non fussy bloom. As soon as the word gets out..you will really be sweating.

I laughed when I saw your statement: "Wait until the weather is less humid". I would have to move to achieve that. We are humid year 'round.

Everyone who ordered them, they are on their way. I still have some nice plants left, if anyone has interest. They are just now starting to from inflo, and two of the boxes that went out today, had blooms. Because most of those 6" pots had more plants than I originally figured, the average price per plant is just $1.00. You'll get lots of bang for the buck!

Its a looooooooong drive, Rosie. I made that drive to an orchid show in Asheville in April. I am getting too old to make those kind of drives.

I am not sure what you read or where, Suga. All I said was that I grew them when I was lived on the Mississippi Gulf coast and now that I'm in north-central Mississippi. They grew well both places. I know someone in Houston said she grew them and they grew well there.

Suga, if you are west or north of Charleston I would give them a try, at that price it is a pretty safe gamble. Even south towards Edisto would be drier than I am on a sea island southeast of Beaufort.
