Clarity of bloom color is a good trait to have, Larry, so even though the blooms aren't very fancy, I wouldn't be so quick to toss them. Observe them for a while on plant traits, but also think of daylilies with bigger blooms, fancier faces, better plant trait that you might have, that could benefit from clearer flowers. You could try a reciprocal cross and see which gives you the better offspring. (My guess is that fancy onto your seedling might give you the prettier, clearer flowers, but that's just a guess, and it might not give you the plant traits that you want.)
Fwiw, I like both of them, but agree that the pink is attention drawing. Most of the "pink" daylilies in my garden are either too pale/washed out, blotchy, or else are more of a coral than a true pink. So congratulations!
