Great scape well branched and 30 buds.
Sibling to the last pic in my prior post and James, I really like that one also. I just ask if 13 or 14 buds is registration worthy but now it is reblooming. This one however, is excellent and tall.

Lots of nice seedlings everyone.
Nothing wrong with those Gale, you have to start somewhere. I really lucked out a couple of years ago and ended up with two great pattern parents, one dip and one tet. If those two had not been any good I would have had very few worth posting, I used those two for well over 50% of my hybridizing last year and it worked out.
Now reblooming

Lots of great seedlings... Some do not need to be registered to be fully appreciated.
Today the first of three seedlings of 'Green is Good' X 'Bonibrae the Freak' opened. The other two should be blooming in the next few days. Diamond dusted and pretty large for its first flower. I'm in love !

I've crossed it with 'Bonibrae Smoke and mirrors' fist flower... We'll see.

Some I already shown but that are improving with the perfect weather we're having :
- 'larry's twilight bite' X 'Tet. Heavenly angel ice'

- 'Artificial Evolution' X 'Awed by Claude'
Thumb of 2016-07-07/mondo632/50b1a2
I crossed it with 'Boitzer Moorlicht'. Hopefully the seedlings will be nice.

Should show a few more in a bit.
have a nice day

Beautiful, beautiful seedlings!

Blooming today is my most used pollen parent in 2014 and 2015. A nine inch bloom, seedling garden name TETRFKXVIVKI2.

I finally have a good seedling to post! I'm not sure of the parentage yet but hopefully I can determine if it is a dip or a tet this year (I think it's a dip).

This is the second bloom (first bloom was on a rainy day). The flower is large with yellow midribs. Seems to be a red and orange bitone although maybe that will change with weather conditions? It's been very hot & humid lately.

What Larry said... nice green throat.

Nice color on that red, Mondo.

I'm not showing today's seedling... a hideous ugly blotched muddy orange-red with light midribs... where's the *cringing-in-fear* icon? Hilarious! I'd tear it out, but I have fencing over the entire patch to keep my frog-and-lizard hunting dog out of it (don't want snapped fans!). I'can slide a red plastic label in there, though... red for death!

@spunky1.... Here's a question for you Fred (and anyone else here who has introduced daylilies), prompted in part by my own seedlings (none of which are registration worthy, but hope springs eternal), but also comments by others. Just what is a good enough bud count to merit registration? Clearly plants perform differently in different areas of the country, so a high bud count from down in FL is not going to be the same in other places. Also, I am given the impression that a lower bud count may be mitigated by rebloom, particularly if the rebloom is instant. And that lower bud count can be even lower, if you have something that has multiple reblooms in a season (such as 'Stella...' or some of the Mike Huben cultivars). That is my impression, anyway, but in general (assuming at most one rebloom) where's the bud count line for registration or not? Confused
Evaluating an iris seedling, hopefully for rebloom
