Suzie Wong has been in continuous bloom for months. In spring she was covered in blooms. Her yellow coloring just blends with so many companion plants. She is near coneflowers, white and pink lilies and a meandering margarita sweet potato. But I could put her just about anywhere.

Trahlyta last bloom! I love it's unique coloring. Being the last bloom you can see how the heat has changed it. Not sure if it can take the heat, missing the clump it came from in another garden. Any other heat/ mild winter growers out there?

Royal Frosting. I wish all my cakes could be frosted with this! New this year but seems like RF will like it here. My best white is Dad's Best White. Second would be Joan Senior. Hopefully this rates up there when established. A good white sets off any color combo.

In the rebloom post yesterday, I explained this Jen Melon Seedling. But if you get a bee rolling around inside today you just have to show it off!

Chesapeake Crablegs, also new, seems to vary in color due to temperature. Hopefully it will be happy here. Life is always better when you are happy!

And lastly I would like to introduce you to one of my gardening buddies. They are nosy and just suddenly pop in, but I am so blessed to have them! The females are browner and less nosy.

Two today (bloom season is not in full calliope mode yet.)

First And second of all, don't take photos in the full sun at noon.

This is THIN MAN's first non-poly bloom of the season;

This is going to get rugged because my bloom season is so late. I won't be posting long strings of photos because most of my "August blooms" will just be reruns of everyone's June and July blooms, so only special hems or special, non-noon photos.

Charley-- Look on the bright side you get to show-off what is no longer blooming in our gardens. I have never known a daylily junkie that could pass up a daylily picture. You can never get enough. You can get us through August! Hurray! Can ' t wait to see August in your garden. Many blessings to you and may you be kept safe!

I now have two to add! The first is Moussaka. I purchased this potted this spring, and it is blooming a little ahead of when it would naturally bloom in my garden. The second is Yellow Bouquet. This is an extra early small yellow 3" double. I purchased this one mail order early this spring. I am trying to add more extra early bloomers to my garden in order to lengthen the daylily bloom season.

Both are FFE's.

Define what you mean by red... Whistling

I would say it's a red with blue undertones (if that makes any sense). It's not as red as say, HOME OF THE FREE, BLAZING CANNONS, or BARBARA MANDRELL...but it isn't as burgundy as BUFFALO THUNDER etc.

No pics today to show. Major rainstorms (very much needed) blew through while at work today and left behind wilted and mangled looking blossoms.

I did see that Lady Elizabeth bloomed today (FFO).

Just breathtaking! That little bee picked my favorite! How did it know? So many beauties to chose from! Daylilies to be proud of and the hard work to get them there should make you doubly proud! May you be surrounded by peace and joy!

Jenn - Welcome! to the Daylily Forum! Lovely bloom!

Great bloom photos, everyone! I always see numerous cultivars that I want after viewing each post! It really makes me wished I lived in Northern Florida or above the state line to be able to grow more of the ones I see posted. I suspect many of those would not fair well here because we don't get the cold winters.
