No photos til tomorrow or Sunday. Headed to the Cleveland Clinic with our eldest for sleep apnea exam. She was diagnosed with mild apnea in March, and we have better docs at the clinic than in Canton, sorry to say. More expensive too! Won't be home from Cleveland til tomorrow....

It's not apnea! Yay!! Asthma and inflammation in the lungs are the underlying issue, so a steroid inhaler is the order of the day....

Thank you everyone, it was an awesome day, lots of family and friends over for the occasion. Hattie is a cutie, and a wonderful little girl, we are lucky to have her.

Her asthma was always induced during exercise and sports, but apparently, it has evolved as a young adult and wakes her up during the night. Her first episode scared her so much that she couldn't put a single word together, when she called me at 3:30am, which in turn sent me into a panic! She's close to downtown Cleveland, and sometimes she has to get up around 2:30 to catch the bus and train to make it on time to open at work...My imagination was running wild! Not to belittle her circumstances at that moment....We are both relieved that we've got answers, I have to say...

Finally a spot of color in the sea of green. Itsy Bitsy Spider, a favorite hybridized here in Region 4, has started off the season with 6 blooms open today. Image is a pretty threesome.

Lights of Detroit - look at that flat face! This daylily is amazing, and is working it's way up quickly on my favorites list. Not so much coppery-orange on the tips of the petals today. But-OHHHH, the SUBSTANCE on this daylily is wonderful!

Highly recommended! This is one of only three cultivars I purchased more than one clump of. I bought one from Dan at Valley of the Daylilies (that one has scapes but isn't at blooming stage yet) and the one that's blooming is from Along the Fence Daylilies here in MI (they have a Facebook page).

Can't wait to get home and check out what is blooming in the gardens!
