I'm moving through your threads Lynn and seeing the beginning and the maturing of 'Autumn Joy' I think. What a beautiful plant. Does this require full sun or will it take a little shade?

Seray, they really do better with full sun. If they don't get enough sun they tend to get leggy and fall over. The one in the picture is in all day sun. Best color and no staking.
Also has yellow leaf fall color. It is such a great plant. You will love it. Thumbs up

Thanks Lynn. I'm trying to decide where to make my new bed. I've come to the conclusion that the entry way is too shady for all the semps on the way. I ordered the book you recommended "Designing with Succulents" by Debra Lee Baldwin. Very nice!

She not kidding when she said they are easy to root. Just don't get in the way. Sticking tongue out

Rolling on the floor laughing I do have the book. With all these semps coming I figured I'd need all the help I could get. I haven't read all of it yet. Packed full of info. Great photos. I need to add it to Mindy's library data base. It's a good reference book. Thanks for suggesting it.

Yes!!! I love that book. I look at it all the time. I can read that book and the next thing I know I'm ordering 51 semps from Mamajack's coop. Tried to get more but she wouldn't let me. Hilarious!

I've ordered plants that hadn't a snowballs chance of growing in this hot GA humidity just from looking at the gorgeous pictures. Half of my Goth garden plants came from that book. Don't buy it Charleen it will cost you a fortune in the long run. Rolling on the floor laughing

We always want things that really shouldn't even be brought into our homes. Confused Love to try.

The Savage Garden is a great reference book. The most helpful CP book I've seen. That one you will be glad you bought, Charleen.

The book I was referring to above and my brain didn't register your title properly. (old) Blinking was the one called, Shocking Beauty by Thomas Hobbs. That's the one that makes me Drooling and cost me a fortune not The Savage Garden. Sorry for the confusion. I had mentioned I was reading that one as well and thought you were asking about it.

We must of crossed posted Lynn. I bought Designing with Succulents. The other looked more colorful but I'm working on design skills and I though this would help as well as inspire me with the semps.

Now that I've re-confused everyone again I'll have some coffee. Hilarious!

Wahoo! Thanks so much Chris. I have another plan in the works. Don't want to say anything until I see if it is going to be doable. : ) If it works out I think you will love it.

I have been looking for a really good indepth Semp & Sedum books. I think I will go to the library and do some research before buying. What I have found so far are very expensive. Don't mind so much spending the money if I know what the content is.
