I wish sellers would send two-fan-clumps. I was looking out the window thinking how many cultivars are still one fan here two years after receipt.
The problem is that when you are young your life it is ruined by your parents. When you are older it is ruined by your children.

Oh my! One fan would take even longer to turn into a clump! Ack! I have gotten 1 fan before and none of mine have increased at all almost 2 years later. Sticking tongue out

Well, Illinois has it going on! All those blooming clumps Hurray!

Mike-- terrific job I like your Autumn King can not tell it is blooming in August heat. It almost makes me want to get one. But I have to tell myself over and over, no late iris and no late daylilies! They really do not perform well here.
It so nice to see them in other areas! You have good vibrant colors on the other three! Good job!

Jmorth--You have some beautiful clumps going! Nice bold colors! They look like they are standouts in your yard! I like Black Passion, but then I like the other two's big flowers! Good job!

May you be blessed beyond your expectations for the remainder of the year!

Living in Iowa and making sure I compost all of the daylilies when I plant them (most with composted manure) mine clump quite easily. I usually take mostly individual pictures, but I found some pics of some of the clumps (sorry but some are still NOIDs). The majority of these were split and moved to our new home the summer of 2011 and several are newer, or even split again since that. Here goes:
Always Afternoon

Debbie's Vows (I am pretty sure on the name of this one - one of my favorite clumps and just keeps on blooming!) Lovey dubby

Night Meteor - still blooming this morning and does have nice clump even though only 2 blooms in this shot (haven't found this in the database but still have notes when I purchased it years ago)
Thumb of 2016-08-04/Legalily/933ab1

Respighi
Thumb of 2016-08-04/Legalily/89f752

Rock Lobster (I have divided and moved this all over my yard and it clumps beautifully in just a couple of years)
Thumb of 2016-08-04/Legalily/711b20

Twist of Lemon

The rest are all NOID clumps Confused :

This last one is new to my garden this year - planted late last fall (a free gift when I ordered from Gaskins Hurray! Lovey dubby ) and has been a favorite and is already clumping!!! It has produced many blooms and I just keep marveling at how much I love it!

Beauties, Ginny! I think Debbie's Vows is my favorite. I think I have found a new appreciation for yellows...they are eye-catching and usually hold themselves up well in the heat of the day. Great clump photos!

Thank You! Thank You! Sharon and Regina. Regina - here are images of Debbie's Vows individual bloom and also how it is placed in the landscaping (just behind the Always Afternoon). I love how the softness of the pinkish blush around the edges shows up most of the time. The colors just seem to blend together beautifully and then have a wonderful green throat to top it off. It is in a prominent place at the end of my driveway (between Always Afternoon and Respighi and a miscanthus grass, and sedum, and I see it first thing in the morning when I leave and first thing when I get home from work! Ginny, thanks for the extra info (even if it's not the correct id). Can you give me some more stats on yours? Height, bloom size and time, and if it reblooms?
It is really gorgeous, as is your flowerbed that it resides in!

Regina - It is an early to midseason that reblooms. Height is about 28 and bloom is about 5.5. It is fragrant. It has finally quit blooming so I can't measure exactly and I didn't think of it when it was blooming! I'm just starting this year to try to figure out my NOIDs. Blinking

Legalily, you have every right to go on about your gardens as they are lovely! I can see much work has taken place to have such a beautiful garden. By the way, I noticed you had rocks around some of your plants. What do you do to keep the rocks free of weeds and other debris?

The River Rock has fabric under it. Came with the house. I use mulch as much as possible. Also I do what my neighbor calls my "walk about". I am constantly walking around looking at things and pull weeds along the way Whistling Whistling My house should look so good Hilarious! Hilarious!

Here are a few of my oldies that were nice clumps this year.

Close Up - In the garden since 1992 and blooms well in dappled shade.

Dream Blue - This one started blooming in mid July and is still going strong today.

Pinkie Pinkerton - Another of my oldest daylilies, added when the garden was first started. It is always a reliable bloomer. In the background of the photo is Minted Halo.

Ah Youth - This one blooms with the flowers floating above the foliage, especially with the dark pine forest as a back drop.
