You guys!!!!

You're really gonna put me to work if I take on that project.

Pull the boat out of 10 years worth of brush growth ....

Drag it down the driveway.......

Maneuver it through the yard.......

Buy and haul a load of soil.......

Fill it up.....

Fix all the drag marks everywhere.......Hmmm. Maybe put in in the truck for transport..........yeah! Much better idea! Hilarious! Whistling Rolling on the floor laughing

It still sounds like it'd be pretty! I'll consider it some more.....my little boy is home with me today so I probably won't get even the everyday stuff done, yet alone a new project started! Today we're playing a new game. He calls it the silly sentences game.

His example - I rode my tricycle on top of the car.

My example - I mowed the clouds.

His - I caught a fish with a fly-swatter.

Mine - I washed the windows with a rake.

Each one of these are of course, followed by lots of Hilarious!

Lovey dubby

He's the one that made it up!

He got the idea from a little game we picked up at a garage sale the other day. It helps him stave off boredom while he's following me all around the property trying to get things done. He's never been the type of kid who's content to just sit on the deck and play with his toys...... he needs to vocalize his thoughts constantly, so playing by himself isn't very fulfilling.

Do play it with your family, the laughter is great!

This is S. 'Neon' that was sent to me last Oct. as a tiny piece. It made a believer out of me on how easy these are to propagate.

Wow, Lynn.

The colors are so eye-catching on Neon. What stage of bloom is that? Does it change progressively like Autumn Joy does?

(Thanks for the new thread.) Smiling

Hi Chelle, I'm not sure as this is the first year for it to bloom for me. It was just one tiny piece last fall. As you can see it did send more shoots up this spring.
I will try to remember to take progressive pictures so we can determine what it will do throughout it's growing cycle. I love it's bright neon pink color.

Me too!

From looking at that pix I'm starting to think that the one Mom has might be that one. I'll check again and try to match them up.

Yours has a lighter green on it's leaves too, doesn't it?

It does appear to have lighter green leaves than my S. 'Autumn Joy'. It could be because it's not getting enough sun though. I will divide it and put some in full sun and see if it makes a difference. Even without full sun it does not flop over, but then it's not near as tall as Autumn Joy. : )

The one Mom has is shorter too....it gets full West sun, but not a lot the rest of the day. Should I wait til spring to take a cutting from that one, or would it possibly settle in enough yet this fall?

I did a bunch of cuttings last fall (in Oct), all of them made it. : ) If you get them going right away they should be okay for your area. Maybe give them a little mulch cover when cold weather comes. : )

Okay, I'll do that. I usually mulch almost everything with a bit of straw or hay after the first freeze anyway. As much as I mess with my plants I figure I might as well, then my "bases are covered", so to speak. :smily:

Thanks for the advice! Big Grin

Can't wait to see photos of them, how they do for you. I'm taking some along with the asters, to our church to plant on the road side of the church, up against the building. Will post pictures of how they did next year about this time. Thumbs up

Cool!

That'll be a very nice showing there at your church. Hurray!

Purple and pink. I think I may have to plant those two together (or near one another) as well, sounds delightful!

Thanks to your cutting/rooting advice I still have at least three baby (a foot tall) Sedum to put in place yet. Thumbs up Now I'll be able to see some when I look out any of my windows! Smiling
