That yellow!!!

This one bloomed this morning. It's a NOID simply because I lost the tag that was with it. The other one is my Hibiscus Tronium blooming like crazy. The first photo was with flash, the 2nd without.

I was able to get a few cuttings done today between rain showers.

Hibiscus moscheutos (Palustris) pink form
Hibiscus poeppigii
Hibiscus radiatus
Hibiscus striatus subsp. lambertianus
Plus the following Hibiscus rosa-sinensis
'Albo Lacinatus'
'Celia'
'El Capitolio' Red
'Painted Lady'

What do you root yours in? I had good luck with Miracle Grow potting soil. But then I read that new starts don't need all the fertilizer that potting soil has.

I'm just using coarse sand.

Well, you inspired me to get those hibiscus seeds that haven't been sown (some rather old ones)...I found some pink luna swirl, luna red, moy grande from Jolana this past week, yellow, white, pink, pink with drk leaf, and a deep burgundy. These were all from trades so we will see if any germinate.

Chris, I wonder what the difference is between Ft Myers and sunny wind (mine) they look just alike to me. I'll have to see if I have a recent pic

When I saw that pic my first thought was Sunny Wind also. I had that one years ago.

I've still got the tag for the Ft. Myers Jay. In fact that's the same one I posted the earlier photo of when Ft. Myers was the 'Hibiscus of the Day'.

I know it's a different hibiscus, just wondering what the differences are,

I wasn't doubting you Chris, it's just what crossed my mind when I first saw it. They are very similar.

I knew that Jay, I've just not seen one that is so close in color. I can't tell the difference between them.
