I like that color Jolana. My two the Ft. Myers Yellow and the other on (peach colored NOID) had to be moved from the direct sunlight into semi shade. The Yellow was beginning to get yellowed leaves and I think it's from the direct sun. I moved them over by my large red NOID which gets a little direct sun but mostly indirect.

Thanks, this is the one that I gave a friend and she nearly let it die, Shrug! So she gave it back nodding
Mine are under a very large mesquite tree, I can't imagine what they would look like in full sun. Most of my plants haven't fully acclimated from months of clouds and rain

Hibiscus acetosella is such a fast grower, I would think Haight Ashbury would root quickly.

How wet do you keep your sand when you're trying to root cuttings?

Hmmm... not sure how to describe the level of wetness. You'll notice that I use crystal clear cups. The primary reason is, I want to see the root development. The other advantage is I can judge the dampness. There are no drain holes in my cups, so I want the sand to be fairly moist but not to the degree that I see water collecting in the bottom. I pour up to an inch of water in the tote that I place the cups in. This creates a very humid environment that not only protects the cutting from water loss, but also helps keep the sand from drying. I will probably not ever have to add any more water directly to the cups while they are rooting.

Thank you! I might just give it a try! Is it too late to take cuttings from them this year?

What a difference a day makes.
Here is the difference between yesterday and today on my Hibiscus radiatus cuttings.

I received seeds for Cranberry Crush from this forum. (thx). I'll watch to see if they bloom this year. I guess I'll have to call them Nearly Cranberry Crush. 😊
