I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown
Well, we've had a little over 1/2 inch. Might be about all we're getting, but at least we got that much!
I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority. E. B.White

Thanks Linda. I really loved Tucson. I understand it has changed quite a bit since we were there in the late 70's. We lived across from Tanque Verde Country Club area on Avenida de la Lantana. I used to love to say my address really fast and confuse people.
I know that area Sandi, it is very nice. Yes, Tucson has changed a lot. It is a very big town now , very congested, poorly governed, etc. Yes, our street names still confuse even me ! The mountains are still beautiful as are the deserts after a rainy winter.

Ann, I loved that video. thank you for sharing it with us. I've been really busy the last few days and didn't have time to watch the whole thing last night. I'm fairly involved with my garden club here. Had a board mtg Monday nite, and knew there was a joint mtg with the Cactus Society Thursday night. Yesterday, I got everything together to bake a cake to take to the mtg. Only problem..I thought the mtg was tonite. I took my cake, some brug cuttings to share, and a rooted plumeria for a friend and doive to mtg. The gate was closed at the botanical garden, so I waited a bit, then called my DH. He checked my calendar and told me the mtg is tomorrow. I stopped on the way home to give a quarter of the cake to our DD. Got home and shared the rest with our neighbors. Feel like an idiot, but also realize I have too many things going on! I have to slow down a little. Not much, just a little!
Soooo, I sat down and watched the video, start to finish. Where'd you ever find it?
Linda, we used to walk the desert with our neighbors and find Indian pottery, cavalry buckles and things, etc, It was a great place to live back then. A half hour to the top of Mt. Lemon when we got too hot in Tucson! I miss it, but DH found it be too hot for him.
Bubbles, I got that in an email from a friend. I enjoyed it too & since it is about Texas I thought you guys would like it. I'm glad you did!

Yes, I liked it too!
Sandy, you must have thought you were having a bad dream! Funny that you finished the cake. Did you make another one? I hope not...that may have been one thing too many!
Anna, I can't find the post where you asked for a report about our speaker from Dallas for the garden club. He was wonderful. I took copious notes! If you can get him to speak to your club...do it. Last night was our annual joint mtg with the Cactus and Succulent Society. (Our Nov. mtg falls on Thanksgiving every year, so the cactus group graciously invites us to join them the week before). Irwin Lightstone is the photographer from Dallas. He had a power point presentation, but also explained the set up of his shots in detail.
