Between 3 and 4 inch diameter. Ipomoea verbascoidea is also fragrant, by the way.

Mercy... Praytell which do you find the most fragrant?
“Little girl, why are you doing this? You can’t save all these starfish. You can’t begin to make a difference!” After a few moments thought, she bent down, picked up another starfish & hurled it as far as she could into the ocean. Then she looked up at the man and replied, “Well, I made a difference to that one!” Be the change you wish to see in the world. http://www.stillsthatspeak.com...

I think the Ipomoea albivenia has more fragrance staying power.

Fortunately, racoon ignored my plants. Really fortunate. Many of my plants are almost irreplaceable.

Even if it's not raining we still are getting overcast days so not enough direct sunlight to start my MG's. This current weather we're having should pass by mid-Sep.

When the time comes, I'm wondering whether I could start 3 or more seeds in one pot. Eventually I will plant the whole root ball into the ground in small raised spaces. We have a 10' pop-up canopy frame that I intend to use as framework for the MGs. Each of the 4 legs will have MGs growing and twining around it. What do you think?

I usually use washed out yogurt cups or something of a similar size for the first pot. Once your seedling gets 4 true leaves, you can transplant it to its final growing location.

You can soak the seeds in tepid water for an hour up to 12 hours keeping them out of direct sunlight. Sometimes you will see which ones have imbibed because the seed will noticeably enlarge. Pot the imbibed ones no deeper than 1/4 - 1/2 inch. You can nick the seeds coat that have not imbibed using a fine file or nail file and then continue to soak in water for another hour. You can then pot them and say a prayer.

I do have 4" pots so I'll use them. How many could I transplant and grow together in a group planting?

Nick the seed coat on the end opposite the hilum.

I guess it all depends on what ones you plan to grow. I don't exactly remember what I sent you.
