I'm waiting for a couple more new vines to flower up. They have buds now. Maybe next week we'll see them. Until then, here is the recent photos from the morning glory garden.

Name: Chantell Middle of Virginia (Zone 7a) You're worth it!
That first one looks like a watercolor....love it!!
“Little girl, why are you doing this? You can’t save all these starfish. You can’t begin to make a difference!” After a few moments thought, she bent down, picked up another starfish & hurled it as far as she could into the ocean. Then she looked up at the man and replied, “Well, I made a difference to that one!” Be the change you wish to see in the world. http://www.stillsthatspeak.com...

I've been catching up on 2+ weeks of photos, enjoying an extended stroll through your deck garden with my coffee. There aren't enough words to describe the ethereal beauty of those blooms, and you have some exquisite photos of them... how will you decide which one to enter in the "annuals" category of the photo contest?!
I appreciate the "group photo" on Aug 29... so lovely! Do you stroll your deck every morning with coffee in one hand, camera in the other?
All my fat root / caudiciform morning glories I grew from seeds, except for Merremia aurea and Ipomoea bolusiana.
It is more fun to grow from seeds but lots of prayer is needed that the seed vendor or trader did not substitute species and that it does not take 8 years to see flowers.
Joseph, I know the MGs in your photos are growing "up," but have you tried them in hanging baskets? I've had terrible tangles in the past when starting MGs from seed under the lights (they get away from me), so I was thinking that once they got started I could bring them upstairs and separate them... but I have more window space available as hanging space...
I have visions of morning glory vines twining all around the edges of my back deck canopy this summer!
