@caladiums4less I definitely want to order in the spring! Miss Muffett is my favorite. I'd also like to know if you have experience with squirrels and chipmunks bothering caladiums. My daughter has a very shady back yard that doesn't grow grass well. Most of her garden plantings have been harmed by squirrels and chipmunks so your experience in this would be very helpful.

I generally have a big problem with both squirrel and chipmunk digging and eating. However, they have yet to touch my caladium. They may scratch around the dirt when first planted, but I don't think I've lost a single one to squirrel, chipmunk or deer.

I also have a lot of squirrels and chipmunks but I have not noticed any of my Caladium bulbs being bothered by them.

I have deer, rabbits, javelinas and squirrels, and my caladiums were the only things untouched this last summer. Hurray!

Glad to hear that about the deer, I have only a few Caladiums planted outside my fence but had not noticed any deer damage, now I will plan to plant more of them outside the fence.

@RickM, @Seedfork, @ plantmanager, thank you for the squirrel & chipmunk input as well as other critters! It seems as if caladiums are the way to go for my daughter's back yard. She is in Kansas City so they'll be annuals there unless she digs the bulbs to overwinter in her basement.
