Here are some photos of some of the Cladium plants grown from the bulbs planted back on August 10th. We left for a month right after planting the bulbs so they received no attention at all.










Now I need to take the time to ID the ones I have. I am thinking they will all be among the eleven plants listed at the top of this thread, so that should make it a little easier.

Wow Pam. Looks like you got some different varieties than I did. Maybe we can do a trade.

All my big bulbs were white, well most. But the little bulbs were all mixed up. As you see, I really packed them in, but I like it. I guess maybe I should dig them and bag them by variety, after they give out. Then I would know what I have, and to trade.

Do you know how to tell Candidum from Candidum Jr? We could trade by picture.

As far as I can tell i think Candidum Jr. Is just a smaller version.

Candidum Jr. has the brightest white leaf of all the white varieties. It used to be considered a dwarf caladium but not anymore

I'm blown away by the bulbs I got from you. They grow so fast! It's the best bang for the buck I've spent this year.

Mine are doing wonderfully. I added them to 6 different pots and gave a pot (planted with them) to my neighbor. I love the color of mine! Beautiful! Everytime I see them, they really grab my attention! The red in mine add such a boost of color to my yard!

@caladiums4less You have a new caladium addict here. I won a box of bulbs earlier in the year, and they all put on such a great show! I can't wait for Spring to start all over again. I will definitely need to order more. These plants make the best show of color and people are always amazed when they see them. I'll be sending my friends to you , Bill.

Sounds like it's late in the season, but I'd be glad next year or when a sale happens again to take advantage. You have me hooked seeing these pics

Cuzz, here are a couple more pics for you. I got a mixed box. Here are some of the varieties.

We start our caladium inside. This allows us to have almost instant color when the weather starts to warm up. Caladium won't sprout unless the ground temp is above 70 degrees.

I've been starting them in large pans of potting mix and then potting them up in 1 gallon or smaller containers. The containers allow us to move things around to achieve the best looks.
