My envelope had a customs sticker saying "hemerocallis seeds".
To me nothing wrong was done.

I was just saying that boxes are the problem, don't know why. Envelopes have an easier life, they arrive, get checked, and dispatched. Boxes are often opened so they take a lot of time. And sometimes the employee choose to question about the content.

Maureen did everything fine I think.

Please remember, as I said before, this doesn't mean to be a polemical discussion, it's just to hear from you who are into selling how things work!

The above statement that you posted earlier in this thread is what prompted me to write to Maureen but I am somewhat confused, as now you have made the comment:

There are two types of "forms" used for customs declarations, one for small packages and a different one for large packages. The "form" or label for small packages has four parts. The top copy is only instructional for filling out the form and can be discarded. Parts are filled out via carbonless paper and remain attached to the package until mailed. Three parts are stamped at the post office with the date of mailing. The detachable parts are then removed and kept by the post office with the third copy given to the person doing the mailing The green sticker part remains attached to the package.

Here are photos of the customs form for small packages:

This top copy can be discarded, as it is instructional only.
Thumb of 2016-09-06/judydu2/ab1ac9

The green section is self-sticking and is the part of the customs form that remains attached to the package to be mailed.

The recipient of a mailing would not receive any customs form, however that does not mean the form was not necessary for mailing to an international destination.

Can we please get back to talking about seeds being offered by the LA sellers.

Has anyone ever gotten seeds from the seller Gsdmoonshadow? They have some great seeds but haven't done many transactions. I'm sort of nervous buying $20 - $50 seeds from people I don't know or that haven't established themselves on the lily auction. Any help would be much appreciated.

Judy, I tossed the envelope anyway it was white, adhesive, stating hemerocallis seed and it was sticked to the envelope. customs declarations or something similar was written on it.

Sometimes people like to make it more complicated than what it really is.

She is Licia Smith Babb out of Florida. She is on Facebook with her real name if you want to check her out. I have not purchased any seeds from her.

I got the seeds I won, I'd like to leave a feedback for the seller. But what (not that I think it will happen) if the seed won't show good and don't germinate? Lady was kind and fast in shipping so for that the feedback is surely positive.

Her listing says STENCILED INFUSION X UNDEFINABLE but when you read the description it says "UNDI" is a seedling from (UNDEFINABLEX UNK). 5.75" I purchased this plant from Nicole Divitoduring the Florida Mecca this past May. A most willing parent (until the temps went into mid-90's) and super pollen parent. Nicole told me that Undefinableproducesabout 75% splotchy babies and with this seedling being splotchy, as well, I would imagine that ups the chances.
I'm not sure I trust someone saying one thing to draw you in then another once you click on the listing, or am I reading something wrong?

Actually the title to her auction says "STENCILED INFUSION X UNDEFINABLE seedling 5 seeds".
There is no misrepresentation of what she is offering since the word seedling is in the ad's title.

I talk with Licia Babb (Gsdmoonshadow) all the time on Facebook. She sells seeds on the Lilyauction as well as myself. She did indeed buy this seedling from Nicole DeVito at her garden this year, and posted many pictures of it on Facebook. She has also bought seeds from me. Here is a picture of the Undefinable seedling, one in the sun and one in the shade.
I think she is done selling for the year now. I still have about 75 listings for seeds and this may be my last week for selling. Most all of my auctions are now $6.00, and Undefinable seeds are $15.00 for five seeds. My username is "Ladylovingdove".

Seeds from the LA (several different sellers). Germination rate was about 98%, but growing is slow, slow, slow:

Lookin' good, Stan and Barbalee!

I snapped a pic the other day of my seedling bed. The layout is horrible but I wanted to get them into the ground and rooted well before the weather turns cold...they range in age from 4 months to 8 months. Plus 3 grown cultivars that needed to be moved to a new bed that's not ready yet Green Grin!

It's hard to tell, but I have over 400 seedlings planted in this space Sticking tongue out

Forgive my weeds and mess!

They look fabulous, Regina! Four to eight months? Lawdy! My teensy things are right at 3!! I think I'll have them potted in the garage all winter with as much light as I can give 'em. No way they'd make it in the ground. Good job on your front!
