Wild turkeys, on the other hand... did quite a number on DH's car when one decided to fly up and go back after crossing the road walking; over $1000 worth of damage to the Mazda that time

You had to be in "BEFORE DARK"

And NEVER..EVER...E V E R ...was a boy coming to pick you up and honking a horn ...as a matter of fact..cars did not let single girls inside until the girl was one step away from marriage...

And played "kick the can" and "red rover" in the middle of the street...

People dressed up to travel on a plane.

Your mom put the Thanksgiving turkey in the oven at 6 a.m. ... did turkeys really take that much longer to cook back then? or did we just eat dinner a lot earlier?

And my first bike was a full size and I couldn't even sit on the seat. They grew with us instead of having one for every size! Couldn't even see over the handle bar but it was easier to balance
