Wondering if jmorth's neighbor stopped parking in the garage when that beautiful morning glory wandered in front of the door... ?

Ronnie, I'm looking forward to lots of surprises next year! Every time you post those "random cross" blooms, I just ooooohhh and aaahhhhh like I'm seeing fireworks.

Ipomoea cardiophylla is flowering like crazy for me. Indoors location, of course.

Ipomoea bolusiana in all its cragginess. The second photo has a view of an Adenium, too, which is not a morning glory.

My Adenium's pretty much hate me. Lost one, the other is still around. From my experience they need almost no water. I over did it and turned the dead one to mush. Sad

They need more water than a cactus, but it does have to be fast draining. I use cactus mix, but add 50% pumice or perlite to it. They love full sun. I used to keep mine too shady. In full sun(when you've acclimated them) they bloom well. I keep mine indoors or in the GH in winter. Move it out when nights stay above 60.

Full sun??? Maybe that is part of my problem. I had them on the patio in very filtered light. Do bring the last one in, in the winter. Thanks for info. This will be my last one if it goes. Glare

Ripe seed pods of Ipomoea albivenia. The tissue is woody-like, quite stiff.

Here is a cultivar of Ipomoea nil which came to me with the name Tokiwayama, grown 4 years ago. I learned from a person in the know that it is not true Tokiwayama, due to various reasons I have since forgotten. I really enjoyed the deep saturated blue flowers and variegated leaves. The leaf shape was also different from the usual dragonfly shape we see in large flower Ipomoea nil.
