Merremia aurea, first ever flower on my plant. I was in the Garden of Eden this fine day, seeing that saturated yellow flower before my eyes.

Thanks, Ronnie! I was so fortunate to see it. It was just a half emerged bud this morning and I expected it to open tomorrow morning. I found this flower at 5:45 p.m.!

The yellow in the Merremia aurea flower is just amazing. That was the first flower on a 6 to8 year old plant. I hope next year the plant is lit up and on fire with those dazzling yellow flowers.

I had sown seeds of the large lavender/varg. leaf but unfortunately they didn't germinate so I'll try them again. I had a packet of convolvulus too, but they didn't germinate either. I may not have nicked and soaked them.

This one I liked just for the leaf, but the flower was also pretty. I am not aware of a cultivar name.

Here is a hige Ipomoea purpurea for purple flower lovers! It is the first flower of the season on this plant.

It is one of Emma Hill's cultivars. To my knowledge there has been no name assigned to it.
