Dug in "minis" yesterday.
It is a little late for the Tete a Tete daffodils, but the botanical tulips and scilla should bloom in spring, and hopefully the daffodils will bloom a year later.

I picked up a pack of Tete a Tete for forcing. And I already have some in the garden. I love them too. Hoping to find some blue Iris reticulata to force or wait for B&B's sale.

I planted 32 tulips and 18 large alliums for Spring. Just purchased 2 new amaryllis for Winter indoor fun. Prices seem high. $9.99-14.99. Finally brought the older ones inside to finish curing. Will give them a rest and then start them on their way to blooming again.

I planted Gigantea and Gladiator. I have some of each already. The large alliums are a bit expensive but I really like them. They get a lot of attention from people walking by. In the past I have had some stolen. I try to add a few each year. The longest any have lasted for me is about 7 years, Can't complain about price when that is taken into consideration.

I haven't tried either of these but do have Globemaster and Ambassador. Schubertii is a real show stopper too and Christophii (just added this year at the new house), but they are shorter. Awesome blooms though. I let the Schubertii just stay after it is done blooming until it becomes a tumbleweed Thumbs up They have so much interest and I'll bet your neighbors love them!

Quick question - I planted some new alliums, very small bulbs, a couple weeks ago and they are already sending up sprouts! Is this going to mess things up for blooms next summer? They have never done this for me before.

I'm sorry I can't answer your question. I only have one NOID that I grow, and I believe that the leaves on that have already broken ground. I believe your plants will probably be fine as long as it doesn't get too wet. But OTOH, I'm in a warmer zone. But I have a question for you: is that A. Shuberti in your last two photos? I love the entire plant. It is a show and heart stopper Lovey dubby

Yes - that is Schubertii. The one in front of the goat card actually has 3 of them together, but I didn't get the third one in the picture. Love them! I have never had them multiply like a lot of bulbs, but love the show they put on! Just reminds me of fire crackers!

They cancelled my allium order because of a "technical" problem. Instead of giving up (like it was a sign Whistling Whistling ) I found another place to order from! Hopefully they don't cancel Hilarious! Hilarious!

It had them on Amazon and I was ordering something else from there anyway. I ended up going with BloomingBulb. I didn't pay that much so if they don't make it I'm not out much. Called Brent and Becky's but they only had 2 and wouldn't ship until Spring. I have no history with this place at all so we'll see. After seeing the white with purple I really wanted to pair this with another purple I have.

I haven't planted any bulbs yet. We have not had a frost and the little bit of cool weather we had only lasted for a couple of days. Brent and Becky order has shipped. I guess I will have to plant it anyway.

Stopped by Lowes while out running errands today. Their bulbs were only marked down 25% so far. No real bargains to be had for me today.

I'm curious to see if the last minute bulbs I ordered will get here in time to plant. Blinking Blinking
