I only have a few more coming (less than 20) and I always have 5 gallon buckets around. I just haven't decided where exactly I a putting them. I got the confirmation they should be here this coming week so I think I'll take my chances and plant them Thanksgiving weekend and it is supposed to warm up a bit
Do you mind if I ask which part of Northern KY you are in? My DD lives in Crescent Springs (Villa Hills) just off Buttermilk. She mentioned yesterday it will get colder this week. It's such a pretty area. (If I asked before I'm sorry - brain overload not old age nodding nodding nodding )

DH and I live in the Hebron area, very close to the CVG airport. Where your DD lives is a pretty and very nice area. I've been in Villa Hills, since my Dad lives there and my Mom did too with him until she passed away in Feb. this year.

Deebie said:Annette, I would love to see your yard in person come spring, if you don't mind I know it's going to be gorgeous, like what we see at some estates. Let me see, who do I know in Duluth? My DB and family used to live in Beaufort, Ga., but they moved back to West Palm Beach, and right now my twin is in Clarkston (but she may be moving soon). I'm getting closer. . . nodding

Is your twin an identical twin? I'm a twin also. We're identical twins.

I go by Hebron every time I go down because I take the bypass. I recognize the name. I'm trying to remember if that's close to the pumpkin patch we went to in October.

Thanks, Annette. I'll let you know. Thumbs up Marilyn, no my twin and I are as different as day and night. Her looks resemble those of our father's family and I look like members of our mother's family. Most people can tell that we're sisters, but would never guess that we are twins. Our personalities are different as well. She's a very bubbly person with a bold personality, but I'm more reserved and conscientious. Big Grin

I am still able to dig so I am planting the bulbs I bought on sale,--- and wish I had not.
This is really too late for planting bulbs up here.
Tulips may be okay. Muscari too. But Daffodils and Chionodoxa?
Alliums probably okay as they can be planted in spring too.
The triple mix, I wanted to use, was in the car over night and frozen.
So I covered the bulbs with icy chunks of it, and then watered the chunks down between the bulbs.
Note to self: Don't buy end of season bulbs! *Blush* *Blush* *Blush*

I did receive the Allium bulbs. Do you think I should wait until Spring to plant them? Didn't know that was a possibility.

Of course, you've got to have the complete effect from Spring through Summer so all of those bulbs are needed. nodding I've also fallen for and want to order some OT's this year. There are some great looking photos in the database and in the lilies forum threads. Thumbs up
