When we get snow we should all freeze it and send Linda snowballs in dry ice
quietyard said:.. Of course it is kind of hard to use in dirt and rocks.
quietyard said: Rita. Better let your UPS guy know what you are planning to send me.
Char said:Really crappy day today....is it ok to say crappy? Well, I'm going to say it anyhow. Morning temp was 43 with light rain. By 11 it was sleeting, noon it was snow. Still snowing and 33 out. The ground wasn't frozen when it started snowing, there's only a 1/2 inch of heavy wet slippery snow covering everything now. More snow through the night...looks like maybe we will have a winter this year.
Chickens - Yes I'll post images if we get chicks I have been researching incubators. My one gold laced hen set this summer in an empty nest box. We had no mature roo, Calvin was still a little guy, so no fertile eggs. The chickens range over about 2 acres around the house, lawn and in the garden beds, alittle up in the pasture. We did have a tarp up but took it down last weekend to prepare for snow this weekend. The warm weather this past week made it nice enough to let them out. Both houses have solid roof covered "playpens" for winter. Calvin and his girl in the image are Blue Laced Red Wyandottes, there's another BLR pullet and I also have 6 silver laced and one gold laced. Sally, the dark banty roos are so pretty!
