These are all from self seeding...and this is just the beginning of them, they tripled through the summer and I just pulled them out. They still looked good just needed to get it done. They have to be the best and easiest annual I've ever grow and filled with interesting bees and skippers all summer.

Gorgeous! I really like the colors and form you used there. Easy on the eyes and makes you want to stop and look for a minute. Smiling

We were discussing seed growing setups a while back and Daniel suggested mylar as a reflective backing for the shelves. I found a seller on Ebay who has a 4' x 100' roll of 2 mil for under $30.

I've sold 8 and already claimed 25. But it's hard not to look greedy. They're all so pretty that I want one of everything!

I am diggin through my seed box file today trying to find more to offer. I am ashamed to say that I am loading up and not offering things that the established members want. I promise that next time (when is that?) I will have more to offer. Everyone is so nice here. Thank you! Thank You!

Terri, I see you are offering statice. Do you know how tall it gets? Specifically, is it over 3 feet? I always heard it doesn't like hot weather so how did it do for you?

Okieheart, Terri, Leslie and Colleen: I think almost everyone brings lots more home from their first swap, than they send in. That changes over the next several swaps, but it's tough for most of us to "sell" more than we "buy".

I think it is really, really cool that seed traders spend all year thinking about what seeds they can give away next year! We like to give even more than we like to receive.

It's the flowers and vegetables that are the truly generous ones. We plant ONE seed and collect hundreds or thousands. Nature is bountiful, and we just follow along afterwards and scoop them up and label them.

Don't feel bad Newbies! Group hug

I'm happy to share with all of you. It gives me great pleasure to share my flower seeds with someone that will plant them and enjoy what those tiny seeds have grown for you. nodding

I'm sure within a year or two you will be enabling the "new" Newbies. It's addicting, once you start collecting seeds and sharing with others you don't want to stop.

DIB AWAY..... Lovey dubby

Likely around the same time next year. There MAY be an additional swap next year that might have a slightly different format, but I haven't decided yet. This year was definitely the year of trial and error with the timing of the swap, but I think we've got it figured out that Oct/Nov is a good time for most people.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, this swap is like a little (but growing) family. Lovey dubby I have been consistently pleased and somewhat amazed and what a wonderful group of people have come into this group and offered their support, their seeds, and their friendship.

I just added some seeds for an ornamental grass that grows in a garden near me. Unfortunately, I only have one picture of the parent plant.... Being that it's November, the grass doesn't look tip-top, but you can get the idea. If there's interest, I may be able to get more seeds from it. Just let me know.
