Go to the post you want to quote and then click on the word Quote. You can then choose what part of the quote you want to use and delete the rest. Below that, you can type in your response.

As of this morning I have sold 93 packets of seeds, purchased 66 packets, 25 of which are from Elena *Blush* Elena, I bet our summer gardens will look very similar. Smiling

Joolie, I saw your red mustard seeds last night AFTER bidding. Do you have 5 or 6 extra seeds to trade with me? I can look through your wish list if you have one to find something to offer in exchange. I love red foliage in the garden and it looks like they would fit the bill.

I'm thinking that tonight will be my last night of bidding...said no one ever! I'm really going to try not to bid after tonight. I already have more seeds than I can handle{between my stash and this swap} and I have 3 more swaps that I have already committed to.

Anyone in the swap:

If there was anything that you really wanted that I had posted and you missed out on. Please feel free to drop me a tree mail and I will gift it to you if I have extra packets.

This is for anyone who bid on Karen and my Fresh look red cockscomb. The name is actually New look red! I just found another packet and IT was labeled correctly. I have never grown the Fresh look.

Fresh look red has green foliage, new look has red.

I was just looking through my list, to see what "sold" well. I noticed I have a lot of this left:
Spurred Snapdragon (Linaria pinifolia 'Flamenco')
So I want to make a little advertisement. I bought a single plant from Annie's Annuals this spring. I put it in the planter on my porch. It grew fast, had a dense bush of lacy foliage. It flowered continuously for a few months, then finally got too dry and shriveled up. but while it bloomed it was terrific. I have found several other annuals that are goners if I forget to water them, this is like those. The bees loved it. The photos do not do it justice, it was a hot or warm red, with a little pink and yellow, but the overall effect was a warm red, and you could see it from the street although individual flowers are quite small. It was great in the planter, and I let the seeds ripen because I want to have it again next year. I think it would be a good thing to plant where I have slow-to-start late bloomers in the garden, like Dahlias.
I have never grown it from seed, but most annuals are easy.

You know the problem with claiming so many new seeds? Now I have a lot of research to do before planting next spring. Gardening next year should be fun.

Well it's nice to have different options for each space and we can always swap back the ones we MIGHT not need.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I thought I was crazy. I kept looking at it this summer and wondering if it wasn't new look instead of fresh look. So when I posted that pic, I was so hoping you were gonna tell me the name was wrong. I feel so much better now. I love it either way, but I'm glad to know what it is. Smiling

Dear Dogsndaylilies;

I need your help! I have an issue with my moonflower seeds. When I posted them in the seed swap, they were ripening like crazy! I took for granted that the rest of those gobs of seeds hanging out there would ripen just as fast. But the weather here in Ohio has been unusually warm for this time of year, and it seems that the other pods just won't budge regarding ripening!

As a result, instead of the 15 packets of seeds I have posted, I have only five (in my hand.) Now, it isn't as if everyone rushed to get the moonflowers in the first seed swap. Green Grin! *Blush* Smiling But! I don't know how to change my quantity (for now.) Could you help, so that I don't disappoint anyone who may decide "at the end of all things" in the seed swap to "purchase" my moonflowers? I just need to change my listing to having four packages remaining at this time.

If anyone does want moonflowers (moonvine) after the seed swap, I would be MORE THAN HAPPY to send them to them individually if they will only send me a Tree-Mail with the request and an address. I feel terrible about this!

But truly; if our members ever saw/experienced this AMAZING flower up close, they would not be able to rest until they were in their garden. I am completely in LOVE with these incredible flowers! They are HUGE, and when they open up in the evening, even the smallest bit of light makes them look like they were made of shimmering silk! Just one seed is enough to grow a 20' vine that will produce many gorgeous blooms. So when planting, allow plenty of space. Unfortunately, at this moment in time, I live in an apartment. So my gardens are "bucket gardens." But that doesn't stop me from enjoying God's palette of flowers!

And the photos I have listed of the moonflower were grown in a single bucket. (I saved them from work when I was a cake decorator.) Just one seed in a container will fill it in a season, and if you plant more than one in a container or area, it will explode with these treasures!

Getting back to the subject: (I get SO EXCITED over these moonflowers!) do you know of any way that I can change the quantity on my listing for moonvine?

Blessings;

Queen Dreama Angel Thank You! Green Grin! Smiling Whistling

Good question! I think you can alter listings after they are up. I would change your number of packets that you are offering down to the number of people who have requested it, first. That way you don't have to worry about not being able to offer it to people who might request some going forward. If worse comes to worse, you don't have to send me mine. Perhaps I'll get seeds for it at a future time. No worries. You could also contact the people who have dibbed on it and just let them know and see if they are willing to take a smaller quantity or do something else, instead. As for changing the quantity within the packets, I'm not sure if the listing will allow you to do that or not, but you could try. Again, I would just make sure that you let the people who have claimed dibs already know that you are making that change, first. Worse things could happen. Live and learn, right? Smiling Whistling

I think, just click on the "pencil" icon inside the "Manage Your Swap List" screen.

Then you can edit anything, including the quantity.

But don't stress over it! There's always next year to offer more.
