greenthumb99 said:Dave. I know this is trivial, but it would be nice if the Thread Watcher box was present even when empty. The big blank space would be more pleasing if the heading and empty box were there as a "place holder". Perhaps sometime you'll be bored and want something to do. Smiling
Thanks.

I have to agree with this. Even if there was just a box saying something like, "You have no new watched threads" or whatever it would be nice. That blank space does kind of bug me. But that's pretty low on the priority list. Like greenthumb99 said, when you're bored. Hilarious!

@dave, I just looked at the seed swap lists and I still can't access the text. On my phone the phrase 22 words is underlined but isnt tappable (is that even a word?). On my desktop I get a ? but nothing is clickable (right or left click). @Danita, can you check also. Do I just need to logout and log back in?

As some others have stated, I too feel lopsided with everything over to the left in the threads but I think I'll get used to it in time. I use Safari and there are the bookmarks & reading list on the left of my screen which really helps to balance out this new look so that I'm not all the way to the left but somewhere shy of centered.

You gave me an idea since I'm using Safari on an iPad. I activated the bookmarks list on the left and added the NGA Forums to it. So that solves two issues, it moves the posts text away from the left, and also restores one click/tap access to the forums list on the left side Hurray! Thank You!

Dave said iPads can't customize the home page because no mouse but James has indicated it isn't the presence of the mouse but the entire kit and kaboodle functionality. I use the iPad for everything even audio telephone calls to friends and family. Camera, email, internet searches...have not useda desk or lap top in ages. But as someone said I can go to library and sign in and customize ...or borrow a computer ... or something... but it is a pain because I like to fiddle and adjust and such.

I still don't like the menu bar covering up the names when I go to view the newest post. I hope that gets fixed soon!

Something I had thought of even in the previous incarnation of NGA was in regards to the banner. I love the daily banner and changed my settings so I see it on every page. Someone brought up the fact that we no longer see at the bottom who today's banner is created by. One thing I would like to see is if you could just click on the banner picture and it would take you right to the corresponding post in the site banner forum. I know we didn't have that before, but it was always something I wished we had. Don't know how logistically possible that is, but I thought I'd throw it out there. I believe in you Dave!

Im going to have to see how to get those banners on every page. I would not call them a banner any more tho. More a big sign with a picture beside it. I loved those banners.

You mean still show the threads even if they aren't new? Some members are watching literally thousands of threads. If we showed them all then that wouldn't really work...

Pam, click on the blue person icon at the top, on the right, and then click on settings. Down the list you'll see Show community-submitted photo banners sitewide? In the box next to that, select Yes, please! Then go to the bottom left and click on Save your changes in the green box. The banners will then show up on every page!
