Last rose photos of the year:
Rosa 'Novalis' (aka KORfriedhar, Poseidon) trying for a 3rd round of blooms this year. This is a very good grower for me, by far the best of all the mauve roses I have tried so far.
Pink NoID from my auntie's garden.
'Whisky Mac' (aka TANky, Whisky) from my grandfather's garden. He grew 3 of them next to the main garden path and I remember sticking my little nose as far into the petals as I possibly could every time I passed them. Now, (many, many) years later, their fragrance is still the perfect, strong rose scent to me.
This is their fall colour, usually they look more like this image from the DB:
Rosa 'Julia's Rose' (aka Chocolate Rose, Julia, Pashley Manor Rose)
I just love the colour on this one!
A few other roses have buds showing colour, but with temperatures dropping fast here, I doubt they will ever open. With a bit of luck some of them might freeze dry and I can look at them all winter!
