Wednesday started in the upper thirties, but did eventually touch seventy. Thus, there was some bee activity in the backyard, but only at the UFO. The first spotted was a rather tiny black bee?:

Next, a honey bee showed up:
and was caught scrambling from one flower cluster to another.
A neon green friend also showed up:



Then an encore performance by a honey bee:

Since it was a bit warmer than the past few days, I checked out the south side of the garage:

And that was Wednesday in the backyard.

Actually that spider is really small; perhaps smaller than the neon green bee.

Saturday dawned clear and chilly; low thirties. For some reason, even though temperatures rose into the sixties, bees remained absent from the backyard. So, I checked for activity around the old hot tub which now houses a wasp nest. They are always active. Moving in a bit closer than I usually do, I grabbed a few shots, before retreating to a more comfortable distance.
The first image captures a less than graceful wasp landing:

The rest are images of routine wasp comings and goings:



That was it for Saturday.

@marsrover, would you please teach me how to line up photos horizontally? I'm sure there's a keystroke for that.....but I'm clueless.

Char, just place your cursor at the start of the DB code of the photo you want to move up - so in front of the square bracket [ then use the delete key to back it up into the line above. You can put more than 2 on the same line if you want.

I do just like Mika. I think the max number of photos that will properly fit on a line for viewing is three. I like two.

Okay, I know this is the Bee Friends forum...but I don't have any bee photos yet today. I just want to try this new trick ( @GoatDriver; pictures usually work better for me). So I'm well aware that these are butterflies and I just hope that Melanie won't fuss at me.
