Wasn't able to get out into the backyard yesterday, but did so this afternoon.
The first flying critter to show up was one of my plain vanilla butterflies. It didn't hang around very long, but I did get one shot:

Next on the scene were a couple of hard working bumble bees with stuffed pollen sacks

Then, a honey bee showed up and I got a few images before it left:

And that was it. Sorry, no bee's neck(s) today.

It's all good!
Personally, beeface is my favorite, but I like all the parts

even beebutt, which is mostly what I get
Here is the girl I spied visiting my mom's asters

and a couple of the other girls also visiting from the neighbors

shhhhhhh--my mom is not too pleased about the chickens hoping the fence, but I like when they come say hi and mess up the mulch
