Very nice, Britnay! Hurray! The bees sure do love sunflowers.

Cute J... The way you described them reminded me of a children's book from years ago entitled "CDB" Big Grin
"My work is loving the world. Here the sunflowers, there the hummingbird — equal seekers of sweetness. Here the clam deep in the speckled sand. Are my boots old? Is my coat torn? Am I no longer young, and still not half-perfect? Let me keep my mind on what matters, which is my work which is mostly standing still and learning to be astonished." — Mary Oliver, from Messenger

This time of year is when Caryopteris shines brightest, and the bees home in on the light. Smiling

Wasn't able to get out into the backyard yesterday, but did so this afternoon.
The first flying critter to show up was one of my plain vanilla butterflies. It didn't hang around very long, but I did get one shot:

Next on the scene were a couple of hard working bumble bees with stuffed pollen sacks Smiling :

Then, a honey bee showed up and I got a few images before it left:

And that was it. Sorry, no bee's neck(s) today. Shrug!
