gg5 said:Here is my dark leafed Begonia I placed the put inside a very large pot that holds a Boston fern and a asparagus fern, just noticed in my profile pic that pot is in the background... What I did is staked up the asparagus fern to a 5 foot tall stake, and planted the Boston fern at the base

My begonias have been outside for the summer. I moved them into the garage for inspection before they go to the basement under lights.

I need to take another picture later as the bud has opened up (and the color is all wrong in this picture), but my Rieger Begonia is blooming. I'm hoping that I don't manage to kill it this winter. *Blush*

Thank, @Deebie! Smiling

Some begonias are preparing for winter rest. They still bloom, but less.
For example, these begonias for hanging baskets. I can not determine the type of plant with confidence. They do not have tubers, and this is not begonia belleconia, I think.
In winter, they simply grow in pots, in the spring I cut the cuttings and plant them again. I live in the city, but also have a country house with a garden.
Therefore, I plant part of the cuttings on the window or balcony, another part in the vases in the garden.

I will call it conditionally "pink" and "orange."

Вegonia х semperflorens is one of my favorite begonias. Simple and unpretentious, they grow well in the house and garden.

This red begonia has been living with me for 30 years. I once received her from an old lady who also had this in her house for many years. Of course, every spring I take new cuttings.

Thank, @pod and @terrafirma ! Hurray!

I would buy more begonias. There are so many different beautiful views. But there is no place on the windows and shelving. I just grow other plants too.

But I will show another begonia that blooms in winter. Hybrid begonia 'Gloire de Lorraine now has buds.

I am always surprised that such beautiful "flower beads" will grow from a small bud in a month.

This bloom last year. Smiling

This isn't nearly as nice as the looming beauties you all are showing. But it is a begonia in my library, doing well with the mixed pot. Anybody guess a name for it? I thought I knew once but forget.
