Now that it has been warm & humid for a few weeks, Begonias started growing so fast they look bigger almost daily.
I'm not supposed to be in love with this plant, with its' non-variegated leaves, but B. coccinea (the plain species, as far as I can tell,) wows me anyway.
Some in this pot too.
This stem is around 3 feet tall (back side of previous pic.)
This stem is starting to grow branches at every node near the base.
Some stems are starting to bloom. They're hidden until they dangle down enough to get below the leaves.
The more this good ol' wax Begonia fills the surface of this pot & dangles over the edge, the more I love it. And so many blooms! If my memory serves, it's all from 2 tiny cuttings stuck in this pot somewhere around 2 years ago.
And I feel like a serious idiot (not a jovial, goofball idiot, right? LOL!) for keeping 'Corallina de Lucerna' in so much sun for almost a decade. Look at how much more pretty and intensely colorful she can be in just an hour or so of morning sun.
