Parts of Tucson received 5 inches of rain this afternoon. Other parts 2 inches. We only received a few seconds of sprinkles. Thumbs down The Santa Cruz river is running 7 ft. deep and they are trying to rescue a man that is being swept away. It looks like they have sadly lost him. Businesses and some homes have flooded. This was a series of storms that stayed mainly over the south side of Tucson. It feels like we live in another town as dry as it stayed here. I really would not want 5 inches at one time, however. Of course.
Sounds like you're carving out a new Grand Canyon over there.
Too bad it's so ferocious. I know anyone would want a nice trickle for about a week to really settle some moisture into the deep grounds.
But, we take what we get.
Sorry to hear of the poor soul who may be in danger or lost his life. Sad
