Asters are so out of season this year but still draw the butterflies.

Those are beautiful! Down here all the tigers are missing, but I'm hoping some will fly in later from somewhere else. Just one kind of swallowtail came here so far this year. Anyway, I found some more tiny American Lady caterpillars on Sweet Everlasting plants and decided to raise them in containers to keep them safe.

I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority. E. B.White

Excited to say I had GST show up yesterday. This female was faded but trying her best to lay eggs with the young male making a fool of himself ...following her every move.
