Shelia,
Wonderful!! I tried Googling to no avail to help identify it.

Tabby,
So beautiful! I love cats!

Melissa,
Oh dear, rubbed off. But, it gave us a different view of him.

Tabby,
Sphinx was my first thought, but I thought Sphinx's had a tail spine. My next thought was an Eight Spotted Forester, but it wasn't that one. It's nice to know.

Janice,
Oooh, gorgeous!

Linda,
Nice shot of the Sulpher!

Windy and chilly here, but going to get colder. No flutterbyes here :o(

It's suddenly cold here too, 28° with snow flurries. Only supposed to last 3 days though, then warming up to the 40s again.

Similar here with the weather. It has been so very warm that I'd just about forgotten we are actually in winter. Shrug!

It was nice here too up till the last few days, and now were warming back up :o)

I can't wait to see what butterflies I have this year. I moved a lot of Phlox closer together and hope to draw them in. I also have sunnier beds where I moved the phlox to.

I drove up to a place near Center Point yesterday to meet up with my DD and my DGD. While there, I spotted a Red Admiral. I can't wait until spring!

We had a few butterflies still around in October, then they were suddenly gone and I hadn't seen one in a couple of months. Yesterday I was outside taking pictures of birds and suddenly spotted this B'fly flitting about. It would go to the Bottlebrush Tree and then to the Periwinkle blooms, and back again to the Bottlebrush flowers.

It is exciting! Although we've had very mild weather here so far this winter, we still have February and part of March to get through with the possibility of frost/freezes and I'm hoping the weather stays nice!

Me too, Lin. We've had one dinky little snow this winter and that's it. I'm so spoiled. It will be 60º today. Confused

We had some frost a couple of nights last month and another cold front came through and it dropped to 46º last night. Our high today is supposed to be upper 60's ... and it's sunny and beautiful with low humidity for a change!

Monarchs...nice! We didn't see many of those this year.

I didn't see many Monarch's this year either and it was a pleasant surprise to see this one in late January! In 2010 we had so many Butterflies but last year they were scarce ... hopefully this year there will be an abundance once again!

A Variegated Fritillary was here a couple of days ago, nectaring on Rue and other things. There was a Red Admiral also, but didn't get a change to take a pic of that.

I happened onto a website that will let you down load their butterflies pictures and catilipillar(spellcheck).
Anyway all you have to do is provide a link to their website whenever you use a picture. Only the ones on the front page and they are beautiful. Lovey dubby
