The cat is fine. He staggered around for awhile and slept a lot but only vomited twice (I hope). He's seems good this morning.

The roses are Double Knockout, Cl. Cecile Brunner, and Knockout Double Pink. I haven't been doing much to them since winter is almost here, but they decided to put on one last show. Big Grin

That Grootendorst is really cool looking. Is that fully unfurled in the Plant File pic that it linked to?(If you saw it?)

My Knock-outs are coming around nicely after a lousy summer. They're great for color, but I just can't get over the lack of scent.

We should probably start a rose thread huh?

I think we will just be chatting about anything gardening related through the coming months of cold and snow. Keeping ourselves entertained? Shrug!

Before I started the "Show Us" in the Cottage Garden thread I posted in the Show us your Garden thread with my Orchid friends. Now I hate to post in 2 places, so a bit confusing.....
but was excited to see that a new this year Daylily actually had the courage to bloom today!!
It is Can't Hurry Love. A Fall rebloomer.
Have around 6 other new daylilies with buds now and wonder if I will see them flower or drop off. Probably the latter.
This is alot smaller than it is supposed to be...

[quote="sheryl"] My Knock-outs are coming around nicely after a lousy summer. They're great for color, but I just can't get over the lack of scent.

That's why I have Cl. Cecile Brunner planted right in the middle of them. She's powerfully fragrant so I don't notice the absence of scent in the KOs. Hilarious!

Good thinking, Tee.

I have Yellow Submarine in with my Knockouts, it's wonderfully fragrant too. That's the only one with a powerful scent in there, however; as the scenteds must be right at the edge of the walkway for frequent sniff tests. Big Grin

Oh, got some nice plants as well as 4 more Amaryllis, and
3 Lamb's ears (2 Qt)
2 Echinacea 'Hot Summer" (Gallon)
2 Sedum Brilliant (2.5 Qt)
Coreopsis 'Moonbeam' (2 Qt)
and another Penstemon 'Red Rocks' (2 Qt)

all for 19.93! Smiling

sedums would be nice here. However I am concentrating on getting weeds out, not plants in at the moment. A couple of 60° days this week have been very useful.

Me, too. I love what they used the leaves for in Colonial times. Bandaids!

Those would have been the best smelling bandaids ever! I love the "raspberry-lemonade" scent of those leaves.
