well.. the next batch will be a Christmas theme.. but this batch of cookies are Jackson Pollock inspired... each is about a foot in dia.. so they were sliced..
If I ever do another cool room... it will be a gingerbread house... as I was chopping off the foam where it had oozed out between the pannels.. before painting it white.. I discovered just how much it looked like a gingerbread house..[ I was too far into the removal to pull it off with this one ] a smaller one as a winter playhouse.. or even smaller as just display.. it would be a perfect gingerbread house... if I had done it with pannels I'd painted brown first.. white iceing inbetween.. then the fun part of adorning it with candy canes and gum drops... and other assorted candies...

Yes... Sharon... I'd bought some black food coloring on my last trip.. for a piano keyboard's black keys.. I was going to give to a friend that teaches kids piano... to give out to the winners of a learning / study contest they have... a bit hard to find black food coloring... had to go to a cooking store.. I didn't use the black for this batch of iceing... just the blue red and green... my new years cookies will be a shell shaped oyster cookie... with a gray iceing for the oyster.. and a candy pearl along the edge... that is if I can find some shell shaped or slightly concaved metal deal that they can cook in to give then a somewhat dish shaped shell like cookie.. finding the candy pearl got me thinking..
well as much as I have to do ... with some plants still outside of the cool room... and down in the house somewhat of a mess.. with aphids on one and spider mites on others...and general relocation of everything ... not to mention a trip down to mothers.. in the next few weeks.. [ did I consider Christmas..] I might just build up a 2' x 2' gingerbread house... for down on the sidewalk planter.. as part of it's decoration... I usually have maybe a dozen silver 2" ribbons that run from the planter up.. with plastic sparkley snow flakes among them...
guess I should make it the size of the planter top... more like 14 x 24 " and still have room for the ornimental kale and mums still growing there.. more of a ranch shaped gingerbread house.. now I need plastic gumb drops.. with large bits of sugar coating...and other plastic candy .. maybe stained glass windows and a light inside... please stop me and send me to rehab...

The cookie looks yummy and the GBH sounds like it would be an easy project for you, As you do it, be sure to take pics for all of no talent people.

I hear ya, Sistah... I have my DH to eat most of the goodies, and I share them with others as well, so I don't eat toooooo much of them!

Vic that's so funny! I make cookies for my DGS and eat half of them myself. Cookies really aren't healthy for children, right? I'm wearing about 20 lbs of 'em right now!
