Not garden art, but today I baked... chocolate truffle cookies, cocoa rum balls, a giant batch of fudge, and the cut out cookie dough is ready to be cut out. Tomorrow: bake and frost those, and mincemeat tarts!

And DH Tony crafted a shooting star to add to our outdoor decorations, we'll hang it up tomorrow! Pictures soon!

I am blown away at the art y'all have shown this last week! I can't even think of enough superlatives...I told DH that this is why I am so quick to buy handcrafted artwork; what you guys have done is so far above and beyond anything that I could think of doing and is of such a fine quality...

well...since this thread is aptly named what were working on.. and not have finished... here's more of the gingerbread house.. now to paint the inside and set the windows in the openings.make a front door...and. get a fiberoptic lit christmas tree for inside.. and finish decorating.. I plan to set it out on the sidewalk.. in my planter there... it sets up about four feet high.. so it will be the perfect height for the small kids to look into.. after I string a few dozen new ribbons behind it I usually set the silver/white ribbons for christmas.. and it gives the morning glories something to climb on in the spring... I usuallly get two years out of a ribbon ..guess I should bring it in about 10pm

Charleen...I tried some of that baked art.... a friend was getting ready to return to FL for the winter and ride her horse Spencer.. an appaloosa ...so I made a Spencer for her to enjoy... actually I made five of them for her... and kept a couple for myself to enjoy.. I ate one already... real sweet... OH.. these are cookies...

I also made a few oysters on a half shell.. cookies... I couldn't resist making these ugly cookies when I saw the candy pearls in the kitchen shop

Gordon, your gingerbread house will disappear, I predict! It's really clever.

Charleen, I bought the clay and am going to play with it when my DGS comes this afternoon. I'll post our project unless it winds up in the trash!

It's a rainy day here. After our "craft session," I may be ready to throw DGS away! His mom has a party to go to this afternoon, so we're picking him up from kindergarten. His parents have a party tonight, so he's staying with us until they pick him up late tonight. Going to be a long day and night! Hopefully he'll be in bed here by 7:30. I'll post our progress no matter what!

Charleen, he IS my "me time." All house chores around here will come to a screeching halt in about 45 minutes. We will have nothing better to do than play with him today! I'm teasing about him being any trouble.

Fantastic job Gordon! When do you find time to do everything? I'm worn out just looking at all your great 'foam' projects you've done.

Oh how pretty, Janice! I haven't seen that pattern in awhile. It isn't one of the many that I inherited from my mom and grandmothers, but I love it. I didn't even know you quilted! Beautiful.
