Thank you, I love them, the first ones I made my son's girlfriend just loved and I gave her two, and had one left. I know that the family will be asking for them once they see them on my frig..

you guys have to give them a try.. you will not stop making them, of course now I want to make some box turtle magnets and don't know what to do exactly, I tried one and it looked pitiful.. good thing we can re use the clay. I don't think anything will look as good to me as the greenmen do now. lol

That gold one inspired me to make one similar and make it into a pin. Came out nice, but I sure do like Gourds better!!!! Smiling

Waving hello to goldfinch, taters and Junebug,

Hello Sossman,
if you get a chance, post a photo of yours, we would love to see it. I thought about a couple of pins for Christmas too. I guess we could bake it onto the pin or do we just glue them on?

I found a little box called mold maker and the clay is white and soft at JoAnnes. I don't know if it dries soft or hard when baked, but got a box of it to try out on a couple of things. I'm hoping to get some sleep so that I can make some tomorrow, the Greenmen magnets were a big hit with my family. Now I have to make some for me and my daugther. I don't think I'll get tired of making these guys.

Gourd, I baked my greenman and then glued the pin onto the back.

I picked up the mold maker yesterday and made a mold of an old skeleton key. The mold is flexible after baking. The key mold came out just ok, I need more practice, but at least you get a generous amount of the mold clay so I have plenty left to play with. Smiling

You can also glue the pin on and bake it in as you bake the Greenman. I use Sculpy Bak and Bond. It is a liquid clay,Works very good, You don't have to worry aboutbacking coming off if it is baked in.

My pins just happened to have plastic base and I didn't think that would bake well.

You could do one as an experiment to see what happens. I've always had metal pins....
