I'm back from St. Louis. Eight days of cakes, cookies, candies and confections... topped off with scotch whiskey. I caught a flu on the plane trip out and now half my family has it and aren't too thrilled with me at present. At least the flu kept me from truly overindulging.

dang influenza! one of my coworkers brought back a nasty virus from his vacation and wiped us all out for the last month or so...

I am wearing a mask over my nose and mouth as I read these posts. Going to get the disinfectant wipes to wipe keboard, mouse and monitor down. Please cover your mouth and noses when you sneeze or cough. I so don't want to get this from those on the forum.

Bev, that's exactly what happened to us a few years back. Now it's no flu shot, and our doctor agreed with us.
I hope all of you sick ones feel better soon, and all of you are wished a very happy new year, and lots of gorgeous semps to show us!

I started getting sick on Christmas and am now scraping my way out of it. If this hacking cough would just go away! Happy New Year to all! Or maybe that should be Happy Sempy Year.

The flu shot has worked well for me in the past but it was mismatched this year.

I'm still recovering but not up to snuff yet. I was lucky...hubby's first day of his 2 week vacation was my first day of the 2 week flu

I gotta say as flus go this one wasn't so bad. No lung or throat issues. Mostly just an intermittent tracheal cough, a low fever, some sinus misery and a good deal of malaise. Pretty much done in less than two weeks. I've had worse.

I am sorry to hear some of you all are sick.

We have a sick free Christmas, unlike last year when we got sick Christmas morning and were sick for a month. All the flu symptoms you can imagine. That was the year I forgot to get a flu shot.

Got one this year and so far so good.

No flu here yet. And I sure hope it stays away.
