We were out yesterday, as we came back at about 7:30pm, to our surprise Tikoy is still in the garden, waiting for us patiently. So we gave him his dinner. After rolling about a bit, it promptly left to its night time gallivanting.

This morning, it is back promptly reporting at 8:30am, gave it breakfast, and now back to nap time. It is like our gauge too if weather is indeed nice outside, it stays around on the patio chair, in sleep mode. Now I have to be careful not to open the sliding doors, so it continues just sleeping.

We were out yesterday at pet stores, and in home improvement stores, finding and comparing the merits of doing our own outdoor cat shelter or getting a new ready made one. I also showed Amanda's cat house to my hubby. It was fun at the pet stores, we hardly go there since we have not pets before anyways, and now it is like a crash course knowing what feline's eat, etc. Always room to learn something new Big Grin And I do enjoy the photos here in this thread, seeing how the kitty's lounge about and what you guys provide it.

Anyone watching the Puppy or Kitty Bowl? I'm watching the puppy one. Wish I could bring a bunch of them home!! Hilarious!

Tarev, different cats like different things but main thing about cat food is go dry as much as possible with wet food as a possible treat. Stick with brands like Purina One and some of the grain free types that are at pet stores and you will be fine. Houses are up to the owners. I tried to talk my dad into building a cat tree with leftover plywood trees and he refuses. I'll find a way to build something for her to perch on up high. nodding

Oh I read too much dry cat food contributes to urinary tract infection and obesity. So we have decided to do a half and half..dry in the morning like a morning breakfast meal then wet food at night. Smiling But will see how it goes. So far tikoy eats both with no issue yet..then naps a long time. It is so nice outside temps at 70F and sunny, more feline napping time. Hilarious!

That goes for too much food in general. But the way you're doing it works. Thumbs up As for long time napping, that's what cats do usually. Hilarious!

Tarev, my vet recommends the wet food as being healthier for cats, for the reasons you mentioned; that said, ours get an "automatic" feeder of dry food and we give them canned food in the morning. Have you determined if Tikoy is male or female?

Ziggy is taking over one of the big dog beds, despite having a couple of cat beds (plus, of course, access to all of the furniture, our bed, etc.)

LOL, Ursula -- did you ever see this photo (I know I've posted it before) from when we first had Ziggy, when he was just a few months old?

Cutie Mingles! I like that too..their yoga-like positions!

Okay, it was raining overnight, and I remember checking again last night if Tikoy returned and seeing it is not in the garden, I just hoped it found its favorite spot for cover wherever it is.

In a rain break right now, just some high winds, still a damp morning..checking if Tikoy returned..woohoo...success! Finally found it lounging inside the water cooler. I guess it found its cardboard scratcher there and finally decided it can safely hide there while waiting for us to wake up for its feeding time:

Trying not to disturb it as I try to take a shot..glad those eyes are like beacons Hilarious! Hilarious!
