WOW -- That Barbara Berkheart is one amazing looking daylily! But I can't believe that that brilliant hot pink color is the true color. Has anyone seen that brilliant a hot pink in a daylily? I'm pretty new to it all, so I might be wrong... That is a really beautiful collection of new daylilies! And thanks for updating us on this, Ann!

I called Frank Smith Daylilies and left a message. Pete called me back immediately. What a nice man! He was like a proud papa talking about his babies. He was actually disappointed in the photo of BARBARA BERKHEART, said it was much prettier than the picture. With only thirty fans to sell, I am sure he will be sold out very soon. He has a couple of intros that have huge blooms - 8+ inches. There are several that I really like. I am liking the wide petals that I see on several of them. The edge on the rose red one is like a fluted pie crust. Pete talked about how they pride themselves on their photos and making sure thet represent the actual flower. I saw daylilies in bloom there in May and they were exactly like their photos.

Oooh, I do like that Indigo Edge.

I noticed that many of the photos have the same background. So I would not go by how realistic the background is on the image. That is something you should not do anyway, as it is pretty easy in photoshop to change the flower and background seperately.

You are so right about many of them having the same background. But what I noticed was, upon enlarging Indigo Edge to see the individual flower better, some of the flowers in front have a halo around them like they were moved from another background. Why not just show the original background? It makes me suspect when I see that happening. But I really do like Indigo Edge as well as the huge Orange Colossus. Don't you think I need another orange to go with Dan Trimmers Baha California?? I like Barbara Berkheart but I have already ordered Nicole Harry's: Can't Touch This., which I just have to have.

Fred, did you get the Dip fall collection too? If so I'm going to have to come over and beg for some MIDNIGHT KALEIDOSCOPE pollen. I'm going to do a few DIPs next season and see what happens. I already got some Dip seeds that we didn't get planted from this past season from Kim's CRAZY cross of FRANK'S BLACK EYED SUSAN and LILLIAN'S FUNKY SPUNKY. I can only imagine the seedlings from that cross (38", bud building scapes with 2.5" UFo blooms ) You never know, she might get something good out of it.

No I did not order the Dips, I not doing any round dips. You never know what your going to get when you cross two of these things. Here's one of those crazy cross's, a 2" round by a 16" spider. Not pretty but massive branching.

Well I just had to have Orange Colossus to go with my Trimmer oranges, so it is now added to my spring delivery.

James Hall and I were able to get Barbara Burkhart, that means Michele will be stealing pollen from someone. James and I will pick them up after the first of the year when we go down to pick up the rest of our orders. The fall collection will be here next week, I really like it better than the spring 2012 collection.

Ok I think I got this straight. You and James bought Barbara Burkhart and Michelle will be stealing pollen from it. Yup that is right.

They are pink with purple stripes, I just know you will love em and the guys will think it is just a daylily with those colors
