Awwww man!!!! Now we won't know where anything is at.

I sprayed and fertilized everything today too since I didn't get a thing done Sunday because I had to visit and scope it alll out Big Grin

Tomorrow I have to spray for spider mites since I saw some on a few daylilies. Don't want them bad boys getting out of hand. You guys with the cold weather have it made. Although you have shorter bloom seasons, the advantage is the cold kills most of the insects and the weeds. We have to battle that stuff year round Sad Sad

I knew there was a reason I moved everything outside..... I just have a few seedlings that never got put into my seedling bed in the garage, along with my parsley, basil & peppers. I will keep an eye on them though, and if they get visited, everything will finish the year outside.

See - simple!! Big Grin

I have to admit, the cold weather really did a number on that rust I had a couple weeks ago, I like cold! Although Stephanie, you go beyond cold, down to frigid.... ~Jan

I have a question about new seedlings -- can they take 32 degree overnight temps if they're on a covered porch, or should I plan to bring them inside on nights like that? Mind you, it hardly ever gets that cold at night here in winter but it does happen.

Betty, I would say they should be fine. We had nights in the teens last winter, Fred and James' seedlings did just fine. Fred's were in the ground and James' newer ones were in pots. I had a couple of geraniums on my porch and where they were sitting one was protected from the wind and the other was not. The protected one lived and kept growing, the other one froze. So if the porch is covered I would say they will be just fine. How new are your babies and what are they in?

Hate to admit it -- I haven't even planted them yet, but I plan to get started this weekend. We aren't that cold yet, but by Christmas we could get to that point and I just want to be aware of what I should do. I got those seed flats that Lyle uses that have tubes in the flats for the seeds/seedlings to start growing in. I am running soooooo far behind this year, and I'm looking at knee surgery in about 3 more weeks so I have to kick it up a notch now.

Thanks Michele!

It's the last one I have. I'm keeping the rest. Big Grin But Fred (spunky1) will probably have some listed later and James Hall (mljomo) will have some to list as well I believe.

Hey I was just thinking for those who cannot afford the collection a bunch can go together and buy it and who ever has the best chance of increasing them fast can grow them and pass on the extras as they grow. Now if a plant dies I don't know how that would go. Or if that person moves and forgets our names???
