We printed off a couple pictures for 'show and tell' at school tomarrow. Her peach tree has peaches this year too--it's first time. Don't know what to expect, but we'll see soon enough I guess.

A big Thumbs up from me, too.Your granddaughter is a fine gardener already. What is her age? And if you don't mind, her first name?

My grandaughter, Jenna, just turned 11, and she loves lilies. Eyeliner is her favorite, She goes home with bundles. I buy the cheap wholesale lilies, so she doesn't cut my Buggy ones, and she understands. She plants them herself, and takes care of them. Too bad we don't live closer.

Polly, Little Harmony is 7 years old. She is my first Great Grand Daughter and has shown the most interest in gardening of any of the other 17 Grand Children.

Here is a giant bud on one of the three test Regales I'm watching for fasciation. This is plant # FR 2A. It did not fasciate but has giant bud and pedicel. It does not appear to be a fused bud--it appears it will have only 6 petals. This is not the FR 3A previously posted, which will Fasciate.

Love the name Harmony.

17 grands, OMGosh. We have 2, and it's always, Grammy, can we stay over. Even the 14 year old boy. Mine are 14-Jamie, and 11-Jenna. Jamie is calm as can be and Jenna is a spitfire.

What an interesting thread!

While taking these pics, I noticed that FR 2A has another nearly double flower.

I t sure looks nicer than those silly double Oriental lilies. This looks like something I wouldn't mind having in my garden.

It would be nicer with a darker chocolate rose reverse. This lily is a strange one.

Same with me. I don't usually care for double anything, but that regale is nice.

Another fused bud. Sent as corrective action bulbs to replace some 'wrong' Landini(s). Still was wrong the second time. And third, You guessed who? Rolling on the floor laughing I've been trying to get it weeded out of here ever since.

FR 3A (fasciating Regale study plant)

Thumb of 2013-07-17/Roosterlorn/38f097
Thumb of 2013-07-17/Roosterlorn/23e3b8 It aborted many buds on the top. I saw a quite of bud abortion accross the board this year. Flower head was cut immediately after this was taken so I could snap a pic of Ice Follies right next to it.

I wonder what the bulb looks like and how many potential stems are wrapped up in that thing... ?
